Samsung S26 FE Packs Flagship Camera Feature Missing From S26 Ultra

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE, a more affordable addition to its S26 lineup that includes a flagship-level camera feature absent from the pricier S26 Ultra, according to Kompas.com. The device was officially introduced in Indonesia, with pricing and specifications confirmed by CNBC Indonesia.

The S26 FE is positioned as a budget-friendly option within the Galaxy S26 series, yet it carries a camera capability that the top-tier S26 Ultra does not offer, Kompas.com reports. This unusual distinction makes the FE model stand out despite its lower price point.

Samsung Global Newsroom describes the S26 FE as delivering a "flagship experience" with its latest camera system and Galaxy AI features. The device also debuts a new design language, with SINDOnews noting that the FE model is the first in the lineup to adopt this refreshed look—a detail that sets it apart from its siblings.

Comparisons between the standard Galaxy S26 and the S26 FE, published by Sumeks, highlight differences in specifications, though the FE's unique camera feature remains its headline differentiator. The phone appears to target users who want premium capabilities without paying flagship prices.

The launch marks a strategic move by Samsung to broaden its mid-premium segment while keeping the FE relevant through exclusive features. With the S26 FE now official in Indonesia, attention turns to whether Samsung will extend this approach—offering Ultra-exclusive features on cheaper models—to future FE releases globally.
